Confer

Confer is a software tool which assists users to answer these questions. Born from frustrations among managers in the NHS who didn’t have the time or facility to meet in person and work together, Confer was designed and developed as part of a €20m Horizon 2020 project Learning Layers.

My role was to work with participants, facilitating the co-design workshops we ran to collaboratively develop narratives which we could abstract to patterns, storyboard out and ultimately generate design principles (we published on our methodology here). From these principles, we engineered requirements for the dev team. Confer is in use in the NHS today, see our website for more details.
